SPORTS & CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Sports and co-curricular activities are conducted under the supervision of Physical Education Teachers. Keeping in view the age group of children, they are encouraged for playing different games accordingly. Martial Arts training is to be introduced in the 2016-17 session.

Sport / Games facilities are provided at the school under two categories :

A REQUEST TO PARENTS / GUARDIANS

Any school / school necessarily needs the cooperation of parents / guardians to properly groom & educate the children. The studies at school have to be supplemented with adequate study time at home. Parents have to ensure that children do not waste time as the syllabus for all classes is voluminous under the present day education system.

We advise the parents to ensure the following:

• Look at the student's school diary every day & see to it that the home work assigned for the next day is done.
• Fix certain hours for studying at home & be strict with the child to observe this routine.
• Encourage your child to develop neatness as habit. The child should come to school in clean and tidy uniform, polished shoes and hair properly combed.
• Parents should avoid to criticize the teacher or the school in the presence of the children. If there is a grievance or a complaint, please talk to the school management directly.
• As most of the children come from Hindi speaking families, children should be encouraged to do a certain amount of regular english conversation at home.
• Parents should be strict with children as far as going to school is concerned. Regular school attendance IS A MUST. Absence from school on trivial ground will not be allowed.
• The school's day to day functioning and growth is financed by the fees paid by you. Please ensure timely payment of fees.

House System

The student community has been divided into four Houses viz., [Takshshila House], [Nalanda House], [Ajanta House] and [Tagore House] respectively. Every student is placed in one of these Houses on admission. Each House is guarded by a House Captain (student) and supported by a House Master (teacher). Each House has a different colour for its dress code which the students have to wear on saturdays.

Inter-House competitions amongst different Houses are held in Sports, General Knowledge, Dramatics, Debates, quiz competition etc.

EDUCATIONAL TOURS & SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION

School has a multi-route bus transportation system with affordable transportation charges. New buses have been pressed into service with expert drivers on duty for the safety of the children.

Educational Tours and picnics are arranged for all the three wings of the institution i.e. Junior and Middle wings. Educational tours for Forest Research Institute Dehradun and nearby industrial units have been arranged which were much appreciated & enjoyed by children.
